Meet the Team: Katrina

Something we are proud of is the excellent feedback we receive on several of the review websites. If you want to read some of them, take a look at the comments left on Feefo. Many of the comments mention some of our staff in person. We thought you might want to know a little bit about these superstars, apart from the excellent work they do.

In this edition of Meet the Team we ask one of advisers, Katrina, some questions about her work and some to find out more about one of our superstars.

  1. What is the first CD you ever bought?

I think it was Shania Twain ‘Come on Over’.  I spent a large portion of my childhood years thinking I sounded like her (I absolutely don’t and someone should have stopped me).

  1. Do you have any unusual talents?

I can eat a full doughnut in two bites and I am strangely good at limboing.

  1. What is your dream job?

Dream job would be a luxury spa reviewer – if that isn’t a thing, it should be!

  1. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

A few years ago I won a regional ‘design your own sandwich’ competition – it was Mexican themed situation that has stood the test of time!

  1. What three items would you take on a desert island?
  • Ipad (for Netflix purposes)
  • Food
  • More food for when I have eaten the first supply mindlessly watching Netflix.
  1. Tell us about your role within Financial Wellness Group?

I am a senior Debt Solutions Adviser at Financial Wellness Group. My role is very busy, we speak to brand new customers about their debt issues and advise them of their options.  I also look after any new customers who are still waiting for their Debt Management Plan to begin. Every day is different and every debt problem we work hard to find the best solution for our customers.

  1. What is your favourite thing about working for Financial Wellness Group?

I really enjoy all the different people I get to speak to everyday! No two days are the same and everyone has a story to tell. It’s really rewarding to help someone with debt they’ve been struggling with for a while and knowing you’ve helped them on their journey to getting debt free.

  1. Would you recommend Financial Wellness Group to a friend struggling with debt? If so, why?

Definitely. Doing this job has really opened my eyes to how common it is for people to struggle with debt. I think we need to normalise talking about money and debt because some people can feel like they can’t talk about it or they’ve done something wrong for being in debt – all of the advisors are so friendly and genuinely want to help!
