Spring Round-up

Nice weather, the Easter holidays, and no restrictions – we are loving spring this year! As part of our Spring roundup, we wanted to share our favourite ways to enjoy the warmer weather, what we love to eat and how to save some money- we hope you enjoy it!

Things to do over Spring

Go for a walk

The weather is warmer, and the sun is shining so, strap on your walking boots and stretch those legs. You can find all of the best walks in your area via The Wildlife Trusts, including those that are suitable for dogs and children. P.s don’t forget to pack a picnic!

Go camping

It’s safe to say we’re all tight for cash these days, so trade in the beach holiday for a family-friendly camping trip at a fraction of the cost. There are thousands of campsites across the UK that house tents, motorhomes and caravans and while the weather is in our favour and an April heatwave is on the horizon, make the most of it!

Spend quality time with your family

Spending time with family is so important, especially after the challenging two years we’ve all had. Take the easter break to catch up with family- bring them on your walk, take them camping, take a trip to the beach… Whatever it is, enjoy every second of it.

Easter is coming up and we’ve thought of plenty of ways to utilise this special occasion. Find out more via our Things to do at Easter blog.

Money-Saving Tips

Spring and summer are the perfect time to create a budget and cut back on expenses. As you know, it’s going to be a difficult year ahead with rising prices so now more than ever, it’s important to get savvy with your spending.

Turn off your heating – This goes without saying, turn off your heating whilst the weather is warmer, you’ll save a fortune.

Ditch the tumble dryer – Cut back on your energy usage by swapping the tumble dryer for the washing line.

Walk more – You’ve seen the cost of petrol these days, right? Ditch your car and walk/ cycle more- it’s much healthier too.

Create a budget for the new financial year – We hate to say it, but this year is going to be a struggle. Get ahead by creating a detailed budget planner, factoring in all your priority bills and luxuries. If you’ve never done this before, read more about how to do this via our How to Create a Budget Planner blog.
